Tony, Hazel and me assembled in the carpark at the Mill at 4.00 a.m in the dark. We started our walk on the top path and were treated to a Nightingale in full voice, plus a very loud Cetti’s warbler quickly followed by Reed warblers . A Male Tawny owl calling in the distance oreham common way.The next songsters, about 4.40, were Song Thrush, Robin,Wren,Blackbird,a Bat was zooming about. Woodpigeon,Pheasant. Then everything was singing in ernest , Lovely. We finished off with a Goldcrest singing in the trees by the Carpark. Thank you both for your company excellent morning. On my way home a common whitethroat, plus a wheatear on a fance post up by Sands Farm.
