The water levels had dropped considerably around Rye Farm, and this seemed to suit the ducks, who were there in large numbers. Wigeon were the most numerous with well over 300, with smaller numbers of Teal, Pintail and Shoveler. There were also 63 Coots, a decent count. At the Rye Farm track pools there were the now almost ubiquitous five Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest and a Grey Wagtail.
