With the floodwater now gone from Henfield’s West End there is now a corresponding smaller number of wildfowl and waders around, but it it was still damp enough to bring in 47 Canada Geese, 16 Greylag Geese, 4 Mute Swans, 2 Mallards and a good count for the area of 12 Egyptian Geese. It was still wet enough west of Chates to hold ten Snipe, with the same number of Lapwing noted west of the river.

At least 4 Chiffchaffs singing away at various points too. (PC&RF)
