Myself, Roger, Angela and Hazel had a super, sunny Area 2 walk today. 41 species. Top sighting 3 Black Redstarts, two together by the pond at Deers Leap and one flying from a hedge about 300 yards further on. Five different Red Kites, five synchronised flying Cormorants, lots of Chiffchaffs and Blackaps, good views of Goldcrest, singing Yellowhammers and Skylarks , a good number of waffling Green Woodpeckers and a couple of Common Gulls.
