The Longfield has produced new sightings! In the dark gloom this morning and with the aid of Claude, I heard new sounds and followed. Five Woodlarks, only silhouettes, but distinctive short tails, They flew up and went down again as usual and followed. Trusty Merlin confirmed my sightings! I haven’t seen them so early in the year. We will look again tomorrow. Merlin also heard Redwing. Must be right!
