Took a walk along from the road to the Downslink yesterday morning. Heard at least two Cetti’s Warblers, three Chiffchaffs and a couple of Bullfinches in the hedges along the first part. Later in the scrub by the fields I had Reed Bunting, Stonechat and several Linnets, one singing nicely, though it wasn’t when I tried to take a photo! Three or four Shoveler and a Gadwall in the wet patch, Skylarks ascending and a Meadow Pipit descending. No Lapwings there though. (VB)
